Otinova

Usage:

• Spray once or twice into the ear canal, morning and evening. Tilt your head after spraying to allow the fluid to drain as far into the ear canal as possible. Wipe away any excess fluid.
• Used to treat symptoms of ear canal inflammation (also called external ear infection, otitis externa or swimmer’s ear), for example in connection with periods of frequent contact with water and/or moist environments, such as during swimming/water sports holidays.
• If you do not feel significantly better after 1-3 days of treatment, you should contact your doctor.
• In case of overdose and/or prolonged use, salt deposits and severe drying of the ear canal may occur.
• Do not use Otinova for more than 7 consecutive days.

Instructions for use:

1. Hold the bottle upright
2. Before using the spray for the first time, pump a few times until you get an even spray
3. Hold the tip of the spray head against the outer ear canal and pump once or twice.

What are the possible side effects of Otinova?:

• Otinova may cause a temporary mild irritation/tingling sensation in the ear canal. If the irritation/tingling persists or worsens, consult a doctor.
• Long-term use and overdose may result in salt deposits and drying of the skin in the ear canal.
• Rare cases of perforated tympanic membrane have occurred in association with excessive salt precipitation at high doses exceeding the recommended maximum treatment period.

Storage and shelf life:

• Store at room temperature.
• Do not use after the expiration date stated on the packaging. Use within six months of first opening.

Please note:

• Otinova should not be used if a ventilation tube has been inserted into the eardrum or if there is a suspicion that the eardrum is perforated.
• Otinova should not be used by children under 5 years of age unless recommended by a doctor (eardrum check).
• Avoid contact with eyes. If liquid gets into eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.
• Avoid inhaling the spray.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Contact your doctor if there is no significant improvement after 3 days of treatment.
• Do not use Otinova for more than 7 days in a row. Wait at least one week after the end of a treatment period before starting a new one.
• Contact your doctor if you experience significant discomfort, tenderness in and around the ear, hearing loss, or irritation/tingling in the ear that persists or worsens.
• If there is significant discomfort, avoid contact with water and do not pierce the ear. Also avoid soap and shampoo.
