The Ear Band-It ULTRA was designed by an ENT specialist for people who want to wear earplugs or hearing aids while swimming, surfing or participating in other water activities without them shifting. The swimming headband is made of neoprene with an embossed texture on the inside for extra grip. The fastening is adjustable and located at the back. The neoprene layer is 3 mm thicker than the original Ear Band-its and offers more stability. Neoprene is known for its flexibility, durability, and resistance to water and extreme temperatures.
The swimming headband is suitable for children and adults with tubes or sensitive ears. Ear Band-It ULTRA is available in two sizes: medium for ages two to seven and large for ages eight and up. Please refer to the size chart to ensure you choose the perfect fit. If you are unsure about the size, we recommend choosing a size larger. The Ear Band-It ULTRA is available in princess print and surf dino print.
After use, the swimmer’s headband can be rinsed with cold water and air-dried. Machine washing is not recommended.

How to use the Ear Band-It ULTRA swimming headband correctly:
1. Insert earplugs (optional)
If you are using earplugs, such as Putty Buddies, insert them first according to the instructions.
2. Position the Ear Band-It ULTRA
Place the swimmer’s headband across the forehead and pull it back so that it completely covers the ears. Ensure that the textured side is against the head for maximum grip.
3. Fasten the swimmer’s headband
Use the Velcro fastener at the back to secure the Ear Band-It ULTRA firmly but comfortably. The band should be tight enough not to slip, but should not pinch.
4. Check the fit
Ensure that the ears are well covered and that the earplugs (if used) are not visible. The swimming headband should lie flat against the head without any gaps.
5. Use in water
You can wear the swimmer’s headband while swimming, surfing or other water activities. Ear Band-It ULTRA helps prevent water from entering the ear canal and keeps earplugs in place.
6. After use
Rinse the swimmer’s headband with cold water and allow it to air dry. Avoid machine washing.

What is the difference between Ear Band-It and Ear Band-It ULTRA?
The Ear Band-It ULTRA differs from the original Ear Band-It in that it uses 4–4.5 mm thick neoprene with a non-slip embossed pattern on the inside, which provides better grip, greater stability and a longer service life. The ULTRA offers greater coverage over the ears, keeps hair out of the face and stays in place better during intensive water use. Both versions are designed to keep earplugs or hearing aids in place. The ULTRA version is available in sizes M and L in princess print and surf dino print.
How do I measure the right size for the Ear Band-It ULTRA?
You can easily avoid problems with the size and returning the swimming headband by measuring the head circumference and using the size chart. A soft measuring tape works best, but a piece of string with a standard measuring tape is also fine.
Measure from the hairline on your forehead diagonally backwards to where the hairline meets your neck, just as you would wear a swimming cap. Choose the size based on this measurement. The age categories are based on average head circumference, but children often need a larger size than expected. Therefore, it is always wise to measure yourself and consult the size chart.
What are Putty Buddies?
Putty Buddies are extra sticky silicone earplugs that mould themselves to the ear and stay securely in place during swimming or other water activities. They are designed to keep water out of the ear canal and offer reliable protection, especially for children with ear tubes or people who are prone to ear infections. Thanks to their sticky texture, they are less likely to shift than standard earplugs. They are available in red, pink, blue, petrol and purple. It is recommended to combine Putty Buddies with Ear Band-Its for optimal protection.
