The Ear Band-It ULTRA is a comfortable, sturdy and child-friendly swimming headband, designed by an ENT specialist to keep soft and/or mouldable earplugs, such as Putty Buddies, securely in place during water activities. Whether you’re above or below the water, the Ear Band-It ULTRA offers reliable protection against water entering the ears when used in combination with soft and/or mouldable earplugs. What’s more, the Ear Band-It ULTRA is ideal for children with ear tubes, perforated eardrums and other ear conditions. It can also be worn with a cochlear implant, provided it is used in conjunction with implant swimming protection. No more worries during swimming lessons, holidays or a day at the pool.
The Ear Band-It ULTRA is available in a surf dino print and a princess print, and in sizes M and L. If you’re unsure about the right size, we recommend choosing one size larger. The Ear Band-It ULTRA is made from durable 4–4.5 mm neoprene, which is known for its flexibility, water resistance and ability to withstand extreme temperatures. In addition, the Ear Band-It ULTRA features a non-slip texture on the inside for extra grip. The swimming headband also has an adjustable fastening at the back for the perfect fit.

The Ear Band-It ULTRA is made from neoprene, a synthetic rubber. Neoprene retains its flexibility across a wide temperature range, is water-repellent and resistant to wear and tear, making it a durable material. The Ear Band-It ULTRA comes in a reusable plastic pouch with instructions in English.

Always use soft and/or mouldable earplugs in combination with the Ear Band‑It ULTRA, such as Putty Buddies. Insert the Putty Buddies as described in the package leaflet before putting on the Ear Band‑It.
Wrap the Ear Band-It ULTRA around your head, ensuring that both ears are fully covered. The Ear Band-It ULTRA crosses comfortably at or just below the hairline.
Attach the Ear Band-It ULTRA to the back of the neck for an optimal and comfortable fit. Use the Velcro fastening to hold the strap securely in place.
Make sure the Ear Band-It ULTRA isn’t too tight, but also not so loose that it slips. For best results, wear the Ear Band-It ULTRA under your hair. This ensures the Ear Band-It ULTRA stays perfectly in place whilst swimming.
Carefully remove the Ear Band-It ULTRA after use. Store the Ear Band-It ULTRA in a dry and clean place to extend its lifespan.

What is the difference between Ear Band-It and Ear Band-It ULTRA?
The Ear Band-It ULTRA differs from the original Ear Band-It in that it uses 4–4.5 mm thick neoprene with a non-slip embossed pattern on the inside, which provides better grip, greater stability and a longer service life. The ULTRA offers greater coverage over the ears, keeps hair out of the face and stays in place better during intensive water use. Both versions are designed to keep earplugs or hearing aids in place. The ULTRA version is available in sizes M and L in princess print and surf dino print.
How do I measure the right size for the Ear Band-It ULTRA?
You can easily avoid problems with the size and returning the swimming headband by measuring the head circumference and using the size chart. A soft measuring tape works best, but a piece of string with a standard measuring tape is also fine.
Measure from the hairline on your forehead diagonally backwards to where the hairline meets your neck, just as you would wear a swimming cap. Choose the size based on this measurement. The age categories are based on average head circumference, but children often need a larger size than expected. Therefore, it is always wise to measure yourself and consult the size chart.
What are Putty Buddies?
Putty Buddies are extra sticky silicone earplugs that mould themselves to the ear and stay securely in place during swimming or other water activities. They are designed to keep water out of the ear canal and offer reliable protection, especially for children with ear tubes or people who are prone to ear infections. Thanks to their sticky texture, they are less likely to shift than standard earplugs. They are available in red, pink, blue, petrol and purple. It is recommended to combine Putty Buddies with Ear Band-Its for optimal protection.
